Zombie Party is the title of a series of novels written by me (Archica). I am currently working on the first book in the series. The story has been planned for over six years and the first chapter was written over five years ago. It began life as a concept for an online comic (to be written by me and drawn by my niece). However, when that idea fell through, I decided to turn it into a novel. After I plotted out the first novel, I realized that there are more great stories to tell about these characters, so I made the decision to turn it into a novel series.

The story follows a group of (mostly teenaged) people who survive a zombie outbreak and join the newly formed Zombie Counter Measures unit. Living on an army base, they put just as much importance on their video game scores as they do on their jobs. They are fun, excitable, and often immature, but they sure know how to kill zombies! The story has more in common with games like "Zombies Ate My Neighbors" and "Monster Madness" than serious zombie fare like "Dawn of the Dead". The focus is on being fun and energetic, though the occasional tragedy does sneak onto the pages. The story trades in teen angst for buckets of over-the-top gore, and hopefully horror fans can appreciate the exchange. :D

About the Author:

My name is Archica and I am an aspiring writer who normally doesn't finish anything. I write mostly angsty fanfiction and have started a hundred original stories that went no where. Zombie Party is the first one that broke the "two chapter curse" I had going (in that I could never get past two chapters). I like to write all types of stories, but my favorites are horror and science fiction. I've dabbled in fantasy but all of it was generic crap. XD

Although Zombie Party has very little angst considering the setting and characters (an oppressive world ravaged by zombies, starring a handful of rather broken teenagers), I do like to write it into fanfiction. I feel that my strong points are dialogue and creating interesting and genuine characters. My weak points are describing settings and writing endings (for chapters or for stories themselves). I hope to grow as an author as Zombie Party continues.
