Harukanaru Toki no Nakade is a beautiful shoujo anime/manga based on a series of dating sim video games. It has been called the shoujo version of the "harem" style series because it features an ordinary girl surrounded by gorgeous men who are in love with her. While this sounds almost cliche, it results in a stunningly beautiful series full of amazing art and character designs. This is, of course, what drew me to the series in the first place. Everything in it (from the costumes to the scenery to the music) is just so pretty.
But scratching below the surface you'll find some memorable and genuinely interesting characters. My favorite is Yasuaki (who is featured in this site's layout), who has not only the most creative design, but the most interesting personality as well. But there are many more great characters who will stay with you, if you follow the series long enough to get to know them. So give it a try, but keep in mind that the series progressively gets better as the episodes roll by.
