Brad Crawford is an antagonist in the anime/manga series Weiss Kreuz (also known as "Knight Hunters"). He's a member (and by all accounts, leader) of Schwartz, a sinister group of four powerful men. Each member has a special ability of some sort, and Brad's is very interesting. He has the ability to see into the future. How far this ability reaches, and how much control he has over it, is up for debate. In the series, he often uses this ability to predict the movements of his enemies and counter accordingly. Brad also appears to be a skilled physical fighter, making him a dangerous enemy for the "good guys", the Weiss team.
Brad's personality is somewhat hard to read. He appears to be very cold, calm, and calculating. He's always plotting something, always has a plan. Perhaps his ability causes him to be perpetually preoccupied with the future, never allowing him to live in the moment. He's somewhat bossy and seems to have a need to be in control of every situation. In the manga, he seems to be a little less uptight, and actually has a couple of vaguely comical moments. But in the anime, he's totally serious all the time.
SPOILER WARNING FOR THE ENTIRE ANIME!
Eventually, it is revealed that the members of Schwartz wish to throw the world into complete anarchy. It is assumed that all four members have been deeply wronged by society, and share a common hatred of the rest of humanity. Therefore, they have come together to destroy the world as it is now. Personally, I think it's hard to consider them villains, when it's likely that they simply wish to prevent others from feeling the same sort of betrayal and despair they have endured. Though few details are given of their earlier experiences, I think it's safe to assume that Brad has been through something terrible that could possibly still haunt him.
Despite the fact that Schwartz members in general are ruthless and have no qualms with killing anyone who gets in their way, there is something very human under the surface that makes them appealing on a level that even the members of Weiss can't touch. Brad and the others are broken, scarred people who are lashing out violently toward the society that shunned them. They dream of a world of chaos, where perhaps they could finally be free.
